Wi-Fi is definitely changing the face of internet gaming by leaps and bounds, and the competition in the business side of gaming is steeper than ever. The latest move had been made by Nintendo. The company’s WiFi plan for Nintendo DS handheld gaming is certainly pushing it a steps ahead of the pack.

As TechNewsWorld said, Nintendo DS WiFi gamers on the move will partake of free online WiFi gaming in areas of Asia and Europe.

This is definitely great news for gamers worldwide! Nintendo DS owners will now be able to find online users at WiFi hotspots, and even jumping in with home-based wireless configurations. It’s doubtless that the fortunate Nintendo DS owners are probably thanking the gaming gods right now.

Nintendo is definitely on the roll here. Just recently they have already moved up on Pocket PC WiFi gamers with their recent wireless access deal for McDonald’s patrons. This was in response to the later’s knockout punch in the industry by making 7,500 available hotspots in the UK alone.

You need not be a psychic to predict that there’s bound to be WiFi hotspot overload for WiFi PDA gamers. Nintendo DS users are not only gaining ground with WiFi PDA game community instead they’re moving up on in. If the recent development is any indication, that is.

Another great thing about this handheld is that it makes selecting the wireless connection mode much simpler compare to the encryption-saddled Pocket PC. Third-party PDA apps help somewhat, but base WiFi configuration on the Pocket PC proves to be frustrating for some users. It’s due to these reasons that most say Pocket PC gaming is for the more techie people.

Therefore, the rest of us will simply have to hold our breath for the easier WiFi gaming on Pocket PCs in order to level out the playing field.
