It is also important to remember that there are areas that have not yet been upgraded to provide the high-speed option. This means that their typical connection speed is only about 152k or about 3 times the speed of a decent dial-up connection.

The price is also another point for consideration. The plans tend to be expensive, since you’re paying for a real mobile connectivity without the hassle of being tied to an Ethernet cable and modem or even to a wireless hotspot like Starbucks. The plans cost about $80 each month for unlimited access. However, Verizon made an announcement recently about a plan that offers unlimited access for $60. The only drag is that you need to get a 2 year voice cellular plan with it, which means additional cost.

But do not let this drag you down though, some carriers also offers cheap plans with a monthly data transfer limit. Though, you need to remember that if you start using this regularly, then the charges will end up costing more. If you’re a regular user then you would do well opting for the “unlimited” plan.

It might do you some good to learn more about the plans being offered by each carrier and then compare them before signing up for anything. A quick look in the net will definitely offer more insights.

Now, the good thing about this capability is that not everyone is aware of it yet, and the price is less than what it was two years ago. So what are you waiting for? Go on and expand your wireless experience!
