We all got use to the idea of sending our film to developing centers and then waiting for at least an hour for our pictures to come back. There are even instances wherein it takes days before we can see those developed photos.

But then digital cameras came along and the world was immediately in awe of this cool new technology. There’s no need to wait for the film to be developed, with digital cameras you can see the results immediately. Sure, these cameras did not become an overnight sensation, but ones things got heated up, it became a phenomenon. Now, practically every household have a digital camera.

However, the public is yet to behold the latest technology integration — WiFi and digital cameras. With this latest innovation, you no longer need to plug your camera memory card into a computer, or a printer. Now you can buy a digital camera that transmits the images through wireless technology. Imagine, a wireless connection for your image uploads – impressive isn’t it?

If you are among those people who hasn’t completely figure out the whole digital image sharing thing yet, this new technology means fewer cables to plug in, quicker transfer of images, and in the case of events in the world, the ability to share images of news almost instantly.

This is pretty similar to what happened in the recent bombings in London. People with cell phone cameras recorded the devastation that they have witnessed in the underground and then shared it with the world in real time fashion. These new cameras will probably take that sort of thing in an all new level. Cities that implement widespread WiFi access and photographers with WiFi cameras capturing images of news and other special events can now transmit those images immediately for the world to see.
